What can I say, other than, the owners, physical therapists, techs & staff are beyond great. I have had neck, knee & back problems for quite a few years. I had been going to Dynamic Physical Therapy for these issues for several months with good results. In February I suffered a fall which caused a fracture in my spine which required minimally invasive surgery. I was in severe pain & had problems walking even after the surgery. I was unable to do my routine household chores or even stand in the kitchen long enough to prepare a meal. Everyone was so caring, encouraging & really gave me hope that all was going to be well. They make you feel a part of the team, not just someone who is taking up their time. After 5 months of physical therapy I am 95% healed & am pain free, thanks to therapists Steve & Scott & tech Maddie. It is hard to choose a few of the professionals at the clinic because they are all wonderful. If you are in pain or recovering from an injury or surgery, I wholeheartedly recommend Dynamic Physical Therapy.

Grab a cup of coffee or tea, because I have a lot to say about getting well at Dynamic PT!

I have been a patient here for 13 months, first for my broken pelvis (yikes!) and then for my torn labrum and frozen shoulder (double ouch!), all from a bike fall I had in Texas last August.

I had been to physical therapy here before awhile back, for mild scoliosis, and it helped a lot with back pain and posture, and for pelvic pain, which is a specialty area they have. I knew the quality and care they offer.

It was such a relief when the doctor in Texas asked me, when I was flat on my back in incredible pain, if I had a physical therapy clinic I wanted to go to when I could get on a plane and return home to Louisiana. “YES!” I said right away. “Call Dynamic Physical Therapy—they have pelvic floor care AND ortho!”

I knew I could trust the therapists here in my delicate condition. Although I was at a low point, I had confidence that I could get well at Dynamic Physical Therapy. And I am. With their expertise, I’ve gone from struggling just to be on a walker, to the swimming pool work and through the careful pelvic floor recovery, and eventually advancing to the ortho gym with individualized exercise and stretches—and re-building my de-conditioned core—then on to leg presses and the ability to go for walks again and move freely! I even got back on a bicycle!

Then it was the shoulder’s turn—the injury had been exacerbated by using the walker. It was my second frozen shoulder and SLAP labrum tear, so I knew it would be a long process. I’m hoping to avoid surgery, and they are supporting me in my goals, with the doctor’s ok. But even if I have to have surgery, with the targeted help of hands-on work, free-motion machine, and other interventions for strengthening and flexibility, I have already increased my range of motion dramatically on a very stubborn shoulder. So, I will be in much better shape for it if I need to have the SLAP labrum tear repaired. (Going into surgery with a frozen shoulder is a bad idea.)

Shoulders are complicated, and the therapists here have specialty in that area. I have been amazed at their ability to respond to the ever-changing condition of my shoulder, paying close attention to what’s needed each visit. Sometimes it’s two steps forward, one step back, as with many healing processes, and they are patient and willing to meet me where I am. I can’t emphasize enough their skill with balancing challenge and gentleness, for progress. It means a lot to have the team of techs cheering me on as well. I’m not naming names because even though my therapists and techs are my favorites (you know who you are!) I am confident that they will match you to who can best serve your unique needs.

I have worked behind the scenes as a medical social worker at a number of hospitals and clinics. It is easy for me to see the high quality of professionalism, team communication, and the priority on patient care that the owners, management, and the entire team have at Dynamic Physical Therapy. It’s not common in the medical field, in my experience, but it’s the norm here.

The scheduling department is also excellent; I always feel welcomed when I walk in the door. In addition, any questions I’ve had about billing or other procedures has been handled with the utmost respect and attention by each department I’ve interacted with.

The level of timeliness, order, respect and fantastic attitude is evident with every visit.

You can always tell when a business is treating their employees well, because the whole atmosphere is positive. It is also clear that everyone is always learning and striving for more excellence, even as they appear to be having a good time on the job with each other and don’t appear overly stressed. That makes a difference for me as a patient, to be able to relax and enjoy my time there, even though the work is a challenge.

Finally, they’ve adapted well to Covid. I was so relieved to be able to do telehealth and continue my care shortly after everything changed in March. They also take every precaution in the clinic to create a safe environment, and while I limit my outings in public, I feel comfortable going there.

While I haven’t graduated yet, I’ve come so far that I am immensely grateful.

The ability to regain the use of my legs and hips and to strengthen my core has been amazing. I feel younger and stronger, which affects every aspect of life. Whether I rehab the shoulder fully without surgery, or if I need to come back post-op, I know I can continue to get well at Dynamic Physical Therapy!

"The staff memb(Laura and Amanda) are very compassionate, knowledgeable, informative and professional. I had no previous knowledge of Pelvic Floor Therapy. I was referred to pelvic floor therapy by my gastrointestinal doctor. Due to suffering from severe constipation for decades since becoming a new mother in 1991. My inability to find relief from Linzess, mineral oil, Emma, Bio 3, diet and large amounts of water cause my concern to elevate drastically. I was overjoyed to learn from my first visit that my pelvic floor muscles were the culprit. Once my pelvic muscles imbalance and sensitivity were corrected the rest is up to me to maintain. My brain is again learning to have a signal for bowel movement and control bladder overactivity. It was very hurtful to learn that Pelvic Floor Therapy in Third-world countries is prevalent but in the United States it's rarely spoken. It's not considered a valid therapy. Therefore, I had to pay out of pocket. I'm thankful that my third gastrologist from LCMC Dr. L.Decoltis referred me for relief. Prior to attending Dynamic Therapy's Pelvic Floor Therapy, I was unable to have a bowel movement more than once a month, but now I can go freely once or twice a week. I now understand how to maintain moist pliable muscle and correct stretching of my pelvic and rectal muscles which has overcome decades of pain and discomfort. Thank you Dynamic Therapy❣️"

"I would absolutely recommend Dynamic Physical Therapy to anyone who needs PT! The staff is fantastic and will get you back on your feet (or your shoulders moving, or whatever is ailing you). As a patient, it's very comforting to see other patients talking and laughing with the staff and each other as they work through the exercises. It makes the hour go by fast! I'd never gone to physical therapy before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was grateful that everyone was very patient and helpful in explaining things, from exercises to assessing the injury to providing a recovery plan. I also got home exercises printed out with pictures, which made it easy to remember what I had to keep doing, even outside of PT. If you go around the holidays, there will sometimes be fun events -- keep an eye out for the flyers in the waiting room for those things if you want to schedule your appointment on a Fun Day. Also, when you "graduate" from PT, you also get a shirt, which was an unexpected and nice surprise! Thanks for taking care of me and getting my knee back to working order, everyone!"

"I slipped on a wet floor in 2022, and I tripped over a curb in 2023. (Yes, I am clumsy.) Thinking the 2022 knee injury would just go away, I spent months with the discomfort, until finally it started locking up. I was convinced I needed surgery, but a Facebook ad lead me to a free evaluation at Dynamic PT in Covington. Dr. Matt Warren felt highly optimistic he could help me. And he totally DID ! But the 2023 accident left me with wrist fractures, other wrist sprained, upper arm injured and back problems. I wanted to stay in bed & never move. Exercises? I said, "I can't." Matt said, "Yes, you can." He is so darn nice and funny... you can't be mad at him for making you try the moves. Don't get me wrong - he and his tech Theresa don't "make" you do things, but they will chart a course so that you can keep improving at whatever pace you are able. I highly recommend their services and suggest you see them. I just don't want to fall in 2024. ;-)"

I was nervous before I started but they made me very comfortable from the very first visit. You can tell that all of the therapists and techs care about their jobs. Every time I walk in they call me by my name and remember everything I’ve told them from the visits before. Kaylee was the first person I saw here. She is amazing at this job. She is also always making me laugh and keeping conversation throughout my visits. She is just really enjoyable to be around. Kaiya is the main tech that I saw during my time here so far. She is so sweet and caring. You can tell she’s always eager to learn new things. She’s always busy doing multiple things but she still makes time for each patient to feel heard and comfortable. Ana gives amazing massages. It feels like she didn’t just give me random exercises but that she put lots of thought and effort into it. She always has a smile on her face and brightens the mood. Even though I didn’t really have Craig, Dylan, Catherine, and Jake they were still a big part of my time here. They are so friendly and it has felt like I’ve known them for so long. They walk up to me and ask how I’m doing, how everything is going, and just make conversation in general. All of the people here that I have interacted with have helped to make my time here more enjoyable. You can tell it’s more than just a job for them. That they really care about helping people. "I went in with a compound fracture in the L1 of my spinal column due to falling from my horse. I was in a lot of pain. Dynamics staff took me through a series of exercises to help aid my recovery. After a few weeks in their care I began to move with much more ease as the fracture mended. My pain levels dropped and now I walk more upright with my posture improving each day. "The minute you walk in the door from the reception desk back to the therapy area you recognize that you are in the hands of friendly and professional people. They make you feel at home, like you have known them all your life. I went in for a lower back discomfort issue and received some stretching and strenghteing exercises and some wonderful lower back massages. Within a couple of weeks I no longer groaned each time I sat down or got up. The immediate relief was welcomed and things got even better as time passed. All the personnel are so considerate and respectful. The facility itself is new and roomy with first rate equipment. Paul Naccari, the Westbank Clinic Director, also works as a Physical Therapist daily. Would you believe it? He even listens to his patients and what they have to say. Based on my input he made adjustments to my treatments and diligently searched for additional exercises for my particular need. "It may seem odd to consider going to Physical Therapy a privilege. However, that is what I consider it to be to have had the opportunity to be treated by Dr. Matthew Warren and his staff. Two nagging injuries prompted me to visit Dynamic Physical Therapy. The first was a hip injury from a literal run around the block. However, the injury had been bothering me for almost two years, and I began to think it was causing issues with my feet. Within five weeks of treatment there was almost no sign of the pain! A few weeks later, I decided to ask if Dr. Warren could take a look at another annoyance I had accrued with my active life. This time in the forearm. An injury which made it difficult to continue my workouts. I never knew a forearm could become so knotted. Oddly, what I enjoy the most about my visits are the conversations and time spent with Dr. Warren. He is a great example of a true believer, a teacher, and he is always willing to make sure I understand what he is doing and the purpose behind each exercise or treatment. This is extremely beneficial as it will allow me to avoid resurrecting the same injuries and hopefully avoid further injuries. However, I can rest comfortably knowing that Dr. Warren will be there to put me back to rights should I have need of him again."

"As a right-handed jewelry artist (and part-time library associate), shoulder mobility is essential. When I began experiencing pain and decreased range of motion in my right shoulder, accompanied by numbness in my fingers, I feared I’d have to give up many of the things that I enjoy doing. After consulting with Donald Ponzo, PT, DPT, it became apparent that I had a rotator cuff/labrum injury (confirmed by an MRI). Don developed a treatment plan that addressed each of my symptoms and though it took several weeks, I’m happily back to sawing, hammering, filing, and melting metal (and shelving books). Thank you to the entire team at Dynamic Physical Therapy in Covington for their professionalism and expertise. Everyone – from the front desk, the PTs, the techs – are amazing. Don Ponzo, especially, put me at ease when I was feeling anxious, offered encouragement when I hit a low point (or two), laughed at my silly jokes, and got me back to doing the things I love. "The Staff is wonderful and the techs are very professional however my wife and I have a major problem with one of your policies. It is required to notify Dynamic 24 hrs in advance for an appointment cancellation. Or you are charged a $25 extra fee. Both were extremely understanding and helpful in making us realize that the Dynamic Physical therapy policy does truly take into consideration the situations that often occur with their clients such as my wife and I. "Everyone has seen one...an ad or invitation for a "Free!" workshop/clinic/seminar, etc and my initial response was probably typical of most: "Nothing is free - what's the catch going to be?" But when an add popped up on my Facebook feed offering a 'Free Shoulder Pain Workshop" at a local Physical Therapy clinic, I knew it was because I had been surfing google for clues to what I had done to screw up my left shoulder, and how I could fix it. Somehow I had managed to injure it to the point where I could no longer reach behind my back with my left arm, take a sweater off over my head, or raise my arm much higher than shoulder height without significant discomfort or pain. At 65, I still have athletic habits like long distance swimming and my work is physically demanding. Without the use of my shoulder, I was out of the pool more than in it and the lack of cardio combined the inevitable weight gain was bringing on the beginnings of depression. Ortho doctors immediately jump to a surgical solution, which I disreguarded out of hand - so the ad for the workshop caught me with a skeptical, but open mind so I signed up. BEST DECISION I could have made. Scott Newton, PT did a thorough evaluation and put together a program that he felt "would improve my range of motion and decrease the discomfort". By following their exercises, never missing an appointment, and doing the assigned workout at home, in 90 days my shoulder was fully restored, I am back to a mile a day in the pool and have dropped 22lbs of pandemic shoulder pain weight! I could not be more pleased, impressed and grateful. The PTA's like Tiffany Surmik (aka"Dr Sunshine") were always there to be encouraging, caring and helpful...attributes possibly more important than knowledge when helping people who are coming back from pain and injury. This is a long review - but they deserve the rave."

"When I came to Dynamic I was three weeks into knee surgery recovery. Having never had a surgery before I was fully unprepared for what recovery would look like. When I walked through the doors for the first time I was barely mobile and I was unsure I would ever fully recover. To say the least I was physically and emotionally overwhelmed. "I will definitely recommend Dynamic PT to anyone, as well as, a step 1 to resolve any injuries I acquire in the future! I had a partial rotator cuff tear with limited mobility in my neck causing major inflammation in other muscle groups due to overcompensation. The staff there was excellent in identifying the problem areas and modifying a treatment plan to build muscles while not inflaming others. They are great with other therapies such as cupping, laser therapy and dry needling. They did them all. I can actually say I am a Believer!! And kudos to the therapist and assistants that wouldn't let me cheat during my exercises. Apparently using the right muscles and not compensating with other muscle groups to do the job is important!! I highly recommend this place and will miss the folks there!"

"After 3 Caesarean sections, my diastasis recti was terrible! I had become insanely self-conscious of the way my belly protruded, no matter what I did. After being told that I would most likely need surgery, my ob/gyn recommended Dynamic Physical Therapy and encouraged me that “it couldn’t hurt to try.” As a woman that has exercised for most of my life, I attempted to correct my own diastasis recti issue by doing exercise videos specific to my problem and could not see or feel any difference. Two years, after my last baby was born, went by before I decided to give physical therapy a go. Upon meeting Michelle Sierra PT, I was frank in telling her that I was very skeptical about my problem being fixed. She assured me that this was something she had worked with many times and treated with great success. I can honestly say now, after several months of working with me, she was absolutely right. My diastasis recti is vastly improved and I am confident, with continued home exercises and now knowing how to properly activate the muscles needed to fix the problem, that I will be 100% better than I was before I started my physical therapy journey. Everyone in the women’s health department of Dynamic was an absolute joy to speak and work with. In addition to Michelle, I also worked with two of her PTA’s regularly, Erin and Tiffany. I felt I was in the most competent and caring hands with each one of them and am grateful for all of the guidance and encouragement they gave me. Women’s health is such a specialized area and I feel that not enough women are privy to the fact that so much can be treated with physical therapy. I had bad pain in my left shoulder from years of overdoing it trying to start a stubborn outboard and leaf blower and edger. I had been going to Dynamic Physical Therapy for these issues for several months with good results. In February I suffered a fall which caused a fracture in my spine which required minimally invasive surgery. I was in severe pain & had problems walking even after the surgery. "I went to Dynamic for a 12-week treatment of Pelvic Floor Therapy in the Women’s Clinic. I was impressed & touched by the expression, from every staff member, of professionalism, kindness, helpfulness, friendliness, excellent communication and efficiency, making it very comfortable to face & go through a rather intimate set of discussions & treatments about the condition of my body’s elimination capabilities following paralysis. AND I achieved fantastic results as well! I was given two very helpful apps to help me track fluid intake/output and exercise reminders. In this time, with the staff’s help, I made enormous progress. I’ve lived in a nursing home for 5 years with crippling Guillaín- Barre Syndrome, requiring 24/7 diapers; with changes every few hours. By the time I finished the program, I was using 1 pull-up in the daytime. That’s huge! The exercises work! I’d do them 2, 3 or 4x/day. I cannot say enough about Dynamic Physical Therapy. The Covington building is beautiful & spotless, every member of the staff is over the top with helpfulness & that rare gift of helping me feel naturally at ease in the midst of a potentially vulnerable experience. I felt more empowered than vulnerable. I found out about this service/type of therapy quite by accident & I am so glad I called to schedule. "Ryan has helped both my wife and I. He helped me get relief for my neck pain with the dry needling. I had had neck surgery but after about a year some pain came back. He was able to give me relief. I recommended my wife go to him after she was having elbow pain. even after she received a steroid injection In the elbow from an orthopedic doctor she got no relief. Ryan is the one who discovered after his evaluation that the pain was coming from her neck and that is what made her elbow and forearm hurt. He was able to relieve her pain by massaging and traction. We are so thankful to Ryan and his staff for their kindness and compassion in our time of pain. "I can’t say enough good things about Dymamic and the people that work there. When i had my first visit in April i had been in a wheel chair and non weight bearing for 4 months. "I fell, broke my pinky finger, and damaged my wrist. In the scheme of things, it doesn't sound very debilitating, but I found it was difficult to perfom everyday tasks. The orthopedist encourage me to get PT as my finger had no range of motion and I was having trouble with every day tasks. I chose Dynamic Physical Therapy because it was convenient to my home. During my first appointment, Laura Ann Eckel assessed my injury and created a treatment plan. After a month of 2 times a week appointments lasting between an hour to an hour and a half, I am pleased to report that my pain level is zero and my range of motion is almost normal. I can't say enough about Laura Ann. She is a kind compassionate PT with many tools in her toolkit. I give Laura Ann an A+++!"

I discovered a herniated disc in my back after going to the ER twice with debilitating back and leg pain. "In August of 2018, I had surgery on my shoulder and when the time to begin physical therapy arrived, I requested Dynamic Physical therapy for two reasons. First, they are located conveniently for me between my work and my home. Second, they partner with Wounded War Heroes every year for a 5k walk in Terra Bella...this is such a great organization and event. Upon beginning therapy, I was so impressed by the facilities and the staff’s professionalism. Due to the nature of my therapy plan, I was working with them three times a week for 3+ months. I can’t say there was ever a time I dreaded going in. I loved the staff and they did so much to ensure that my shoulder regained full strength and range of motion. I always felt comfortable and welcome with them. The staff makes you feel like a friend and they really care about you and your recovery. Since the end of my treatment with them, I have referred some of my best friends and family members to their business as I truly feel they are the BEST around. "March 15, 2018 Update from my first 5 star review written 3 years ago. Since that time, I’ve returned to Ryan at Dynamic for neck and low back pain. Ryan helped me go from barely being able to walk a half mile without pain, to hiking the trails of the Rocky Mountains and Maine Coast, easily logging up to 10 miles a day with NO pain! HOPE…that is why I continue to return to Ryan! When I had my low back pain, I had an MRI, steroid injection and a neurosurgeon say, “It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when you will need surgery.” Ryan and I worked together to knock that thought right out of the ballpark! I would say we were pretty successful with that treatment, going from ½ mile to 10 mile hikes…HOPE! And now I’m dealing with heel pain. Here again, the podiatrist sent me on my way with hard arch supports and steroids, and said I had falling arches, “typical for someone my age”, and the orthopedist sent me home with a pamphlet on plantar fasciitis. Both left me with a feeling of “oh, well, that’s what happens to your body when you get older.” OK, so at almost 60, I’m not okay with that! I needed a really good dose of HOPE, so I followed Ryan to his Dynamic Physical Therapy Clinic in Slidell. And there I found it, again! Ryan and I are working on a plan to get me back on the trails. More than that, though, it was an amazing feeling to leave our initial evaluation with a strong sense of “we’ve got this!” With Ryan’s guidance, I can look forward to navigating the many trails and life adventures that lie ahead, and for that I am eternally grateful and blessed!"

"I began working with Paul and Craig after some stops and starts with my insurance company following a SLAP repair on my right shoulder. At the time I was still on Active Duty, and so TRICare was being difficult until the technicians on the base admitted that I was beyond the level of help they were able to give. After three months of the base clinic I wasn’t really any better than I had been immediately following my surgery. I met with Paul and did the initial assessment, and could tell that he wasn’t happy with the progress. He and Craig put me on a program that was aggressive but attainable, and within three months of treatment at Dynamic I was up to about 70 – 75% of my pre-surgery capabilities. After a little over 7 months I was nearly back to 100%. By the time I was discharged at about 8 months I was able to fully utilize my shoulder and perform all the tasks I had been able to prior to my injury. All of the staff here are super-professional, helpful, pleasant to work with, and above all: they are patient but they aren’t going to let you take the easy way out. The facilities are clean, well-lit, and Dynamic has enough equipment to prevent stalling out your therapy while waiting for a machine or item to become available. The staff takes the time to make sure that you understand not only how to perform each exercise, but why you are doing it and how it benefits your progress. Savannah, Jenna, Katie, John and the other techs are great at making sure you have help and guidance for each exercise, and for me personally, were awesome at understand that I work at a different pace from most others and helping me achieve my goals. They continually provided feedback and motivation to push everyone there to do their best to get better. Scheduling and billing were handled flawlessly by Mandy and Karla. Even when I transitioned from Active Duty to Retired status and TRICare flubbed the transition in payment, Mandy worked quickly and efficiently to correct the problem. After the correction, she helped me set a plan to pay the back log of payments due. All of the Staff at Dynamic are cheerful, personable, and genuinely care about helping the patient. I can’t recommend this business and their people highly enough. I would always choose to return here for future physical therapy needs, and tell all my friends and acquaintances that this is the best place for PT in the city."

"Being a Marine Infantryman, my body has been through the absolute ringer. I had a surgery for a torn labrum in my left shoulder and was sent to Dynamic to physical therapy. When I injured my shoulder, I went back and they helped me through that injury, too. They explained my injury, how it happened and what I can do to prevent it in the future. The therapists and technicians were all very friendly and helpful. Hopefully, I won't have another injury anytime soon, but if I do, I will definitely be returning to Dynamic."
